For the series ‘Social Innovation Exchange Nordic podcast’ Therese Byhring, of the Norwegian NGO World Wide Narrative, interviews Marlieke Kieboom about how Kennisland sets up and runs social innovation labs in the Netherlands++Lab PracticeKennisland recently published the publication ‘Lab Practice: creating spaces for social change’. Lab Practice aims to share experiences from doing a social lab with elderly people in Amsteldorp by sharing methodologies and stories from both changemakers and social lab facilitators..

Following the event ‘Social Experimentation in Nordic Countries’ in Copenhagen, Therese and Marlieke have a conversation about the practical details of how to set up a lab team, how to find a suitable location for an open office in ‘the field’, and how to use Feed Forward, a self-developed storytelling & story-using methodology, to better connect the lived realities of citizens to policy-making, systems and organisations. In the podcast they also go over challenges Marlieke and her lab team face in the field, and discuss ideas of how to overcome them.
